AWARDS
Submissions Due May 12th
Submissions to screen your film and receive awards are due on May 12th at 11:59pm to our Google drive folder at the link below. Possible awards include Best Picture, Documentary, Cinematography, Acting, Script, and an Audience Choice award. Films can be any genre, must be under 15 minutes and directed by a current SBCC student within the 2022-2023 school year. Our screening event will take place on May 20th. Please note that a submission does not guarantee a spot in our screening, as have limited time available and priority will be given to films receiving awards. We encourage you to take the leap and submit your film!

Cam Con 2023
Cam Con, running from May 5th to 8th is an entire weekend dedicated to the art and skills of cinematography, with workshops led by a variety of experienced cinematographers, gaffers, grips, camera assistants, and other industry professionals. This year, Cam Con will include workshops and panels from award winning filmmakers such as Michael Slovis, DP of Better Call Saul, as well as tech demos from RED and Panavision. This is a rare, career-propelling opportunity to gain hands-on experience and mentorship from professionals that would otherwise be inaccessible.
